Bro, What are we Making?

Owning a creative business - at age 59 - has its share of challenges! Mainly the tech sort for me! Who would have thought that as a creative gift shop and art studio owner in CT ... my main job would be sitting on the computer, figuring out how to avoid ai, to do seo (does it exist anymore) how to get on the tik tocks, how to avoid having a pony ride or a fire breather at a class....and all the other hats!

I just want to make art and decorate my store windows and make coffee for you!

NO AI I DO NOT WANT YOU TO WRITE MY POST!

I will not use it on a plane, I will not use it on a train!

see how I tagged the "gift shop" above? who knew I had to do that to get google ( which I now hear is THE WORST) to index my pages and all that.

I want -

  • A cute cool gift shop that sells artsy handmade and curated gifts that you can't find anywhere else in CT

  • A fun and funky arts cafe where people can come in, relax, grab some supplies and spend time away from their phones (and kids) and make a friend or two and just chill out and vibe with us!

  • A mini cafe to add some delicious coffee items and snacks for you while you create!

IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK? LOL ahahahahhahaha

Oh and I also need time to make my own art!

And I need a genie to upload all of my products and art to my 4 webstores

AND I need a young person to show me how to do the tak taks

Wait.... I have a lot of that... and ADHD! Go figure!

Summer is here and that means.... air conditioning. Our classes always slow down in the summer so we will be doing mostly DIY Cafe stuff and a few workshops but they will be EARLY so you can still enjoy your days in the SUN!

Stay tuned for the new and improved website-and other stuff!

Jamie

It's cold out! Come and make art here with us! My friend asked me "what do you want?" when I was lamenting to her about business ownership and how our "store" is also a studio and we tried selling cof
