The Nest! DiY Clay & Art Bar

The Nest is our DiY NON-INSTRUCTIONAL pottery and art making studio here at Little Bird Clay Company. 

How it works-

   Note the timeframes and difficulty levels. 
 

2. Pick a Project and Book your session

Come in to create! All instructions will be provided for your project.

We will set you up with everything you need to create on your own. 

​

We can answer questions but please remember The Nest DiY studio is NON-INSTRUCTIONAL and anyone needing excessive assistance will be recommended to take a class with an instructor.  Please bear this in mind when booking time in The Nest.

The Nest is a drop in creative space designed for ADULTS, however we can accommodate children ages 10-16 with an adult during specific sessions. Please check dates and times for session age information ie. adult only or young adult friendly etc...

Monthly "GUIDED" Open Studio for Youth 10-16 is for independent work with supervision and guidance from staff. 

Please check the schedule carefully for the age designation for the session you are choosing.

We have adults only "Crafty Hour" available.

While pottery making can be a cruel mistress, we will help ensure that your creations are kiln ready before you leave.

Anyone not following instructions while building risks not only their piece failing but possibly damaging others' work.

We cannot accommodate requests to create more advanced or intricate projects during DiY time. 

 

Project  prices include-

*Clay for your projects which includes 2 firings and white or clear house glaze or you can opt to return to glaze at our "Glayze Bar" after your pieces are fired and work with a "Glayze Tender" to glaze your pieces after they are bisque fired.  

Acrylic paint in over 50 colors
Paper Ephemera for collage and scrapbooking and junk journals

Rubber stamps (over 200!) for ink and clay
Ink for stamping

Colored pencils

Watercolors

Decorative papers

Washi tape
A variety of clay cutters, rolling pins and all tools for working with clay, hole makers, textured rollers and more

CANVAS AND WOOD PANELS ARE EXTRA Choose your size and pay when you arrive. Book time for canvas or collage by the hour. 

This is NON-INSTRUCTIONAL TIME.
