Choose a project, Choose a time slot. The Nest is our DiY NON-INSTRUCTIONAL pottery and art making studio here at Little Bird Clay Company. Hand Built Clay Projects How it works- 1. Check out our "Menu" of projects examples below. Note the timeframes and difficulty levels. 2. Book your timeslot. Drop in is available but it is best to reserve online or give us a call and let us know you are coming so we can prep your materials. Come in to create! All instructions and materials will be provided for your project. Based on the project you choose, you will pay for any additional materials you need during class. We can answer questions but please remember "The Nest" DiY studio is NON-INSTRUCTIONAL and anyone needing excessive assistance will be recommended to take a class with an instructor. Please bear this in mind when booking time in The Nest. The Nest is a creative space designed for adults. Please check the schedule carefully for the age designation for the session you are choosing. Creative youths ages 10 and up may attend with an ADULT ONLY DURING SPECIFIC TIMES so please check before booking. Please see The Nest booking policy before booking. While pottery making can be a cruel mistress, we will help ensure that your creations are kiln ready before you leave. Anyone not following our handwritten instructions while building risks not only their piece failing but possibly damaging others' work Clay Projects include 2 firings and white or clear house glaze or you can opt to return to glaze with our stoneware glazes at our "Glayze Bar" after your pieces are fired and work with a "Glayze Tender" to glaze your pieces after they are bisque fired for a 10.00 studio fee by booking a 1-hour glaze appointment. *You may also use your time to decorate your piece with underglazes or underglaze transfers. Please keep the 2-hour time frame in mind while you are creating. Pieces must be completed in the 2-hour time slot as we do not store work in progress. These projects will be fired and dipped in clear glaze. A variety of clay cutters, stamps, rolling pins, and all tools for working with clay, hole makers, texture NOTE - Clay "menu" consists of beginner to intermediate projects that have been designed for success in our shared studio space.
