2 Hour Pottery Wheel Class Learn to throw small vessels on the wheel, bowls mugs and small vases. Learn to trim and add handles and embellishments, and decorate with underglazes and carving techniques. 2 Hours Includes Clay glazing and firing of up to 5 small vessels. Students will learn to reclaim clay, use of tools, proper centering and forming techniques and clean up. Clean up is part of class and the last 15 minutes will be spent cleaning up. Please- No open toed shoes or crocs ( slippery) No flip flops. Please no long nails and long hair must be tied back. Please dress appropriately as you may get messy, Aprons are not provided. Ages 12 -16

Policies

There are no make-up classes, or refunds, or rescheduling for missed classes. Daily workshop classes in Summer Session are strictly for ages 10-16. Wheel class and Tea Pot class session is for ages 12 -16. These classes are for young adults interested in creative arts and will be taught by a certified elementary school teacher who works in the Manchester Public School system. Please indicate any allergies or notes during checkout. There is no late pick up or early drop off option as this is a retail store. We do not let students leave to walk around Evergreen Walk without parent permission as once they leave our doors we are not responsible for them. Please be sure to include child's age and Emergency Contact info. No cell phones are allowed to be in the work area. We are not responsible for any damages to any electronics so please keep them put away. Students are expected to treat the studio and other participants, and instructor with respect and follow all studio rules and policies. No running. Wear closed toe shoes. Beverages allowed. Please no food/snacks. No Crocs as the floor is sometimes slippery. No Flip Flops. Please no long nails. For wheel class long hair must be tied up. Clean up is part of class and students will be expected to clean up their work areas and assist others in the clean up after class. Students should expect to spend the last 15 minutes of each class cleaning up. Wheel students should understand that clean up is part of class and the expectation is that everyone will assist in clean up, Please make sure your child is aware of these policies before signing them up.
